How does TeleFxBridge work?

TeleFxBridge has three stages: an authorized Telegram source, a parser that extracts structured trade fields, and an Expert Advisor installed in MT4 or MT5. The EA polls eligible signals and reports the broker result. Total timing varies with Telegram, the polling interval, terminal uptime, network conditions and broker execution.

What do I need to get started?

Accepted Answer

Three things. (1) A Telegram account that is a member of at least one signal channel you trust — public or private, doesn't matter. (2) MetaTrader 4 or MetaTrader 5 installed on a Windows machine or VPS with a funded broker account (live or demo). (3) A TeleFxBridge subscription or active 7-day free trial. You don't need any programming knowledge, you don't need to give us your broker login, and you don't need to install anything outside of MetaTrader.

How do I install the EA?

From Accounts, download the MT4 (.ex4) or MT5 (.ex5) EA. Place it in MQL4/Experts or MQL5/Experts, restart MetaTrader, attach it to a chart, enable automated trading, add https://telefxbridge.com to the WebRequest allowlist and enter your license key. The supplied EA uses WebRequest and does not require an external Python process.

Does the EA need to stay running 24/7?

Yes. The EA polls TeleFxBridge for new signals every few seconds, sends heartbeats, and reports trade results back. If MetaTrader is closed, no trades can be placed — even though the listener service still parses signals on our servers. For full coverage we strongly recommend a Windows VPS that runs MetaTrader 24/7. A basic 1 GB / 1 vCPU VPS is enough for two MT terminals and costs around $5–10 per month.

Can I test TeleFxBridge before paying anything?

Yes. Every account starts with a 7 working-day free trial with full feature access — no credit card needed at signup. You can also point the EA at a demo MetaTrader account during the trial to see signals execute on simulated money before going live.

Question 6

How do I add a Telegram channel as a provider?

Accepted Answer

Go to Dashboard → Providers → Add Provider. You have three connection options. (a) Shared bot — add @TeleFxBridgeBot as an admin of your channel and paste the channel's @username; we handle the rest. Best for public channels you own or admin. (b) Your own bot — create a bot via @BotFather, paste its token in the provider form, and add the bot to the channel. (c) Telethon / user API — paste your api_id and api_hash from https://my.telegram.org. This is the only option that can read closed private channels you are merely a member of. Save the provider, click Test Connection — if you get a green checkmark, you're live.

Which Telegram signal formats are supported?

Our parser covers more than 50 real-world formats. Plain text ("SELL XAUUSD @ 2341 SL 2358 TP 2318"), emoji-prefixed ("🟢 BUY EURUSD 1.0823"), multi-line broker-style tables, zone entries ("Buy zone 1.0820–1.0810"), pip-based SL/TP ("SL 30 pips TP 60 pips"), multi-TP (TP1, TP2, TP3), and multi-language signals (English, Spanish, German, French, Indonesian, Arabic). If a message contains direction, symbol and at least one of SL or TP, the parser will extract it. Test any custom format on the Signals page using the Signal Parse Tester before going live.

What is the confidence score and why does it matter?

Every parsed signal gets a confidence score from 0 to 100 based on how many required fields the parser could identify (direction, symbol, entry, SL, each TP). A signal with all five fields cleanly extracted scores 100; a signal missing TP2 and TP3 might score 70. Each provider has its own minimum confidence threshold — signals below the threshold are saved as 'rejected' and never reach the EA. The default of 60 is a good balance for most channels; raise it for noisy channels with lots of commentary.

Can I filter out unwanted messages with keywords?

Accepted Answer

Yes. Each provider supports three keyword lists. Strip keywords remove text from the message before parsing (useful for promo headers like 'VIP CHANNEL — '). Ignore keywords discard the entire message if any match (useful for 'update', 'closed', 'TP hit' announcements). Required keywords keep only messages that contain at least one match (useful for filtering on symbol names like 'XAUUSD' or 'GOLD'). All three lists are applied in order and changes take effect on the very next message — no restart required.

Can I monitor multiple channels at the same time?

Yes. Starter plan supports up to 3 providers, Pro plan supports unlimited. Each provider runs in its own listener task with independent keyword filters, confidence threshold and statistics. You can pause individual providers without disconnecting the others.

Does the duplicate signal filter actually work?

Accepted Answer

Yes. Every parsed signal is hashed by symbol, direction and message ID. If the same provider re-posts the same signal (or a near-duplicate within a short time window), the second one is automatically marked as a duplicate and skipped — your EA never opens a second trade for it. This is critical when a signal provider edits or re-broadcasts their message; without the filter you'd risk doubling your position size by accident.

How does the risk manager work?

Before every trade, the EA pulls your latest risk settings from TeleFxBridge and checks them locally. It validates max lot size, risk percent per trade (auto-calculated from your balance and SL distance), max simultaneous open trades, max daily trades, max daily loss in USD and percent, max drawdown percent, and max acceptable spread. If any enabled rule is breached, the signal is rejected and logged with a reason. You can also toggle each rule on or off independently from the Risk Manager page so that, for example, you can run a max-spread filter without enforcing a daily loss cap.

What is the Emergency Stop button?

Emergency Stop is a single toggle in your Risk Manager that immediately blocks all new trades across every provider and every MT account on your subscription. It does not close open positions — it only prevents new orders from being placed. Use it when you need to step away from the markets, during major news events, or whenever you want to manually freeze automation without disconnecting the EA or pausing each provider.

Can TeleFxBridge lose me money?

TeleFxBridge has no opinion on the market — it is an execution bridge, not a trading strategy. The quality of your results depends entirely on the signal providers you choose and the risk rules you configure. We strongly recommend three things before going live: (1) test for at least a week on a demo MT account, (2) start with the smallest possible fixed lot size, and (3) keep max-daily-loss-percent enabled at 5% or less. Trading carries the risk of full capital loss and past performance never guarantees future results.

Are my credentials stored securely?

Your broker credentials are never sent to TeleFxBridge — the EA communicates directly between your MT terminal and your broker on your own machine. Your Telegram bot tokens and api_hash values are encrypted in our database using Fernet (AES-128 CBC + HMAC-SHA256) with a key that lives only on our application server. Passwords are bcrypt-hashed. License keys, JWT tokens and password reset tokens are single-purpose and revocable from your dashboard.

Which MetaTrader versions are supported?

MetaTrader 4 (build 1380 or higher) and MetaTrader 5 (build 3550 or higher). Both .ex4 and .ex5 binaries are provided. The EA does not require the source files to run, but signed source is available to Pro subscribers on request.

What happens if the EA disconnects?

The EA sends a heartbeat to TeleFxBridge every 30 seconds. If we don't hear from it for five minutes, your dashboard marks the MT account as 'Disconnected' and you receive an email alert. Any signals that arrive while the account is offline are queued and dispatched as soon as the EA's next heartbeat lands, provided they haven't expired (default 10 minutes). You can also disable queuing per provider if you only want fresh signals.

Can I run TeleFxBridge on multiple MT terminals?

Yes. One license key can run on the number of MT accounts allowed by your plan (Starter: 2, Pro: 5). Each terminal needs its own EA instance and its own MT account number on file. Trades are independent — a signal that triggers on account A also triggers on account B, with each terminal independently applying its own local risk filters.

Where can I check that the EA is reporting trades correctly?

Dashboard → Trades shows every order opened or closed by the EA, with its parsed-signal source, entry/SL/TP, lot size, profit-loss and close reason. Dashboard → Signals shows every signal received, parsed and either executed, skipped (with reason) or rejected (with confidence score). If you ever see a mismatch between the chart and the dashboard, contact support with the trade ticket number and we'll trace it.

Do I need a VPS to run TeleFxBridge?

Not strictly — MetaTrader on a home PC with the EA attached will work — but you'll miss signals whenever your PC is asleep, off, or has lost internet. For consistent 24/7 coverage we strongly recommend a low-cost Windows VPS. A 1 GB / 1 vCPU plan from providers like Contabo, Vultr, or Forex VPS specialists is plenty for two MT terminals and typically costs $5–10 per month.

How do I set up MetaTrader on a Windows VPS?

Order a Windows-Server-2019-or-newer VPS in a region close to your broker's server (London for most EU/UK brokers, New York for US brokers). Connect via Remote Desktop. Download MetaTrader 4 or 5 from your broker's website and install it. Log in to your trading account. Download the TeleFxBridge EA from your dashboard, copy it into MQL4/Experts or MQL5/Experts, restart MT, and drag the EA onto any chart. Enable Auto-Trading in the top toolbar. Disconnect from RDP — the VPS keeps MT running with the EA active 24/7.

How much CPU and RAM does the EA use?

Negligible. The EA itself uses around 5–15 MB of RAM and almost no CPU. Most of the resource usage on your VPS comes from MetaTrader and the price feed of your broker — figure on 250–400 MB of RAM per MT4 terminal and 350–500 MB per MT5 terminal.

Is the free trial really free?

Yes — 7 working days (Monday to Friday count, weekends do not) with full feature access. No credit card is required at signup. We email you reminders on day 5 and day 6 so you can decide whether to subscribe before the trial expires.

How can I cancel my subscription?

Accepted Answer

Open Dashboard → Subscription → Cancel Subscription. Your access stays active until the end of the billing period you've already paid for. Recurring payments stop immediately and no further charges are made.

Do you offer refunds?

Accepted Answer

Yes — a full refund is available within 3 days of your first paid subscription if you're not satisfied. Email support@telefxbridge.com with your order ID and a brief reason. Renewals after the first paid month are not refundable but you can cancel at any time to stop further charges.

Can I upgrade or downgrade my plan?

Accepted Answer

Yes. Upgrade anytime from Dashboard → Subscription — the price difference is prorated and you get the new plan limits immediately. Downgrades are queued for your next renewal so you keep what you paid for until then.

We accept all major credit and debit cards via Stripe, plus crypto payments (BTC, USDT-TRC20, USDT-ERC20) for subscribers who prefer them. Local payment methods may be available in some regions during checkout.
